Bruce Quinn, M.D., Ph.D., partners with the leadership of innovative companies to craft successful business strategies in medical technology, genomics, digital health. With a nationwide client base, Dr. Quinn has worked successfully with both large and small companies in overcoming hurdles to commercialization through negotiation, understanding insightful ways to use the existing healthcare system to advantage. Dr. Quinn has helped stakeholders change federal policies in areas such as advanced imaging and is an expert on the Medicare system.
Dr. Quinn travels nationwide to speak on health reform issues and publishes actively, including a widely read blog, Discoveries in Health Policy, which updates readers on federal policy changes in Medicare policy, precision medicine as well as other health topics. His most recent article, “Digital Health and its Impact on Genomics,” appeared in Journal of Precision Medicine in December 2017.
Before establishing Bruce Quinn Associates in 2016, Dr. Quinn was a full time business consultant and strategist in the national health care policy groups of Foley Hoag LLP and Faegre Baker Daniels LLP. Earlier in his career, Dr. Quinn was a physician executive in the health and life sciences division of Accenture, working with the payer, pharma, biotech and genomics industries. Dr. Quinn also served as the regional Medicare medical director for the California Part B program, where he had authority for final coverage decisions on approximately 15 percent of the U.S. Medicare program and spearheaded innovative approaches to new technologies. He holds an MD-PhD from Stanford University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management.
