Cindy Jordan

CEO and Founder,
Pyx Health

There aren’t many entrepreneurs whose careers include police officer, presidential campaign fundraiser, marketing strategist and founder of two healthcare IT startups. Her first venture, a proprietary referral marketing tool for physicians called Medical Referral Source (MRS) was acquired by The Advisory Board Company in 2013 for $12.5 million. She continued her work with MRS, now known as Crimson Medical Referrals, as managing director for three more years. Cindy’s current venture came to light in 2017 when, motivated by a family member’s struggle with a mental health crisis, she became aware of gaps in healthcare and the pervasive loneliness and social isolation epidemic. Vowing to wage a war on loneliness, she was moved to create an impactful platform marrying technology and compassionate human interventions, and Pyx Health was born. Three years later Pyx Health is a proven solution designed to help our most at-risk populations. The Pyx Health platform has been adopted by over 15 healthcare organizations serving thousands of Medicaid and Medicare Advantage members. As Pyx Health grows, Cindy’s goal is to see broad healthcare industry transformation on the subject of loneliness – to have it accepted, medically and fiscally, as a treatable condition and, ultimately advocating for “a billing code for loneliness.”
