Kim Wiese

Vice President, Portfolio Management and Growth,
Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC)

Kim Wiese is the Vice President of Portfolio Management and Growth for Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC), a health system and Level 1 adult and pediatric Trauma hospital in Minneapolis that serves over 150,000 unique patients a year. Kim is also the executive sponsor of the telehealth initiatives. Kim joined HCMC in October, 2015 from ActiveHealth Management (a wholly owned subsidiary of Aetna) where she was the SVP of Product Marketing and Strategy. Prior to that, Kim led national and international care and population health support initiatives for Optum, part of UnitedHealth Group. Kim began her post-MBA career with General Mills, as a product manager and has led global brand presence initiatives for Publicis and worked for two start-up companies.

Kim serves on two boards. She joined the board of the Women’s Health Leadership TRUST in 2011 and served as Programming and Marketing Chair. In 2014, Kim joined the board of ETR, a science-based health and education company located in Northern CA. Last year, Kim was elected Vice Chair of the ETR board. Kim is also involved with ServeHAITI, as a volunteer and former board member.

Kim earned her masters of business administration from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business in New York City. She holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Northern Iowa.

She is one of 13 children and also a twin. In her spare time, Kim might be found pursuing her artistic passions, which include mosaic art, photography, and writing. She is training for her second triathlon.
