Katherine Steinberg, Vice President, engages with clients’ seeking optimization of payment and delivery systems as they adapt to healthcare changes and reform. With a focus on designing and executing on new models of care, she helps stakeholders plan for strategic opportunities as she applies her background in patient and provider engagement, healthcare market evaluation, user-centered innovation design, process improvement, and strategic planning.
Prior to joining Avalere, Katherine was the Director of UCLA Health’s Institute for Innovation in Health, where she led a team identifying, implementing, and evaluating new care models, companies, and technologies to advance the strategic objectives of the health system. In a previous position as part of UCLA Health’s Performance Excellence Team, she developed and led training for the Departments of Neurosurgery and Quality. Before UCLA, she worked at the VA Health System in several roles that were focused on improvements in quality of care, resource allocation, strategic planning, and facility design.
Katherine received an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business, an MPP from UCLA’s School of Public Affairs, and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
