Alexis Normad is VP of Withings Healthcare and has been at the forefront of the connected health revolution for more than 10 years in a career that spans public policy, hospital operations and product management. He currently leads Withings’ ongoing strategy in driving adoption of digital devices in healthcare with consumers, employers, medical providers and life sciences. In 2013, he founded and headed the B2B division of Withings to promote sales and use of smart devices and data in preventative health services for employers, distance health monitoring for healthcare providers, and real-word evidence studies for life sciences and academic institutions.
He has developed eHealth solutions for hospitals in North America and Europe and is a leading industry advocate, having served as a member of the GDPR working Group on eHealth for the EU commission. Alexis is also a regular keynote and panel speaker at industry events and has spoken at conferences including Connected Health, HIMSS, AHA and OECD.
Alexis has also written extensively on issues relating to connected health as an author, media commentator and co-investigator for peer reviewed publications. His book, “The Revolution of eHealth” was published in 2017 and his writings and comments have appeared in media all over the world including the Wall Street Journal, Les Echos and Le Monde. In addition, as part of his work with Withings, he has co-authored multiple studies involving connected health devices and data in peer reviewed publications including The American Journal of Hypertension, The Journal of Internet Medical Research and The Journal of Physical Activity Research.
Alexis is a graduate of HEC (Msc.), Sciences-Po (MPA) and La Sorbonne in philosophy (Ba) and currently lives in Boston.
